Advice on building acoustic CMU walls in basement

I am planning a home theatre in my basement. I need to minimize sound coming from the room, especially low frequency. I am considering using acoustic block, probably 8-inch slotted.

So, can I build that directly on the slab in the basement? The walls would be a bit less than 8 ft high. The room will be about 13 X 16. Two walls will be the concrete foundations walls, the other 2 would be the block walls.

I would be concerned about the weight of the Acoustic Blocks on a Basement slab.

I think I agree with you. So, if I go ahead with this, what kind of footers would be recommended, generally speaking, in terms of depth and width?
