Delivery or mix?

I have four footings (for columns) to pour, about two yards. Is it better to mix the concrete myself or order pre-mixed on a truck? If I order premixed concrete I will probably have to wheel barrel the concrete. I have heard that they frown on this?!

Wink

Sorry to say for 2 yards . Mix it yourself. Here 3 yards is mim and if you have to wheel it then you have to pay for time also. You could think about rent a mixer.

Delivery

By code, footings must be of a mimimum compressive strength and the only way you can guarantee that the footings will meet these codes is to order it delivered.

You can always get small amounts delivered from Redi-mix companies but you will need to pay small delivery charge mimumum's which can be steep.
