Adding a stone facade to an existing structure

Hello
I recently purchased a 900 sqft home build in 1950 in an upcomming neighborhood and would like to add a stone facade to the area around the front door and one of the walls. I have seen a new product used that looks like large flat stones that are actually man made, quite thin and can be added to a wall to give it a nice stone construction look. Can anyone tell me how this product is commonly known and who makes it. Also how dificult is this product to add to a wooden structure on slab. The information is much appreciated.

They are called texture plus panels

They are called texture plus panels and many companies have them. I recently used them to add a bit of conformity to my front porch sides and the base of my house which was sealed cinderblock, which by the way is just not an attractive look lol Anyway here is the link to one site http://www.outwater.com/ this site can be a bit difficult to navigate if you don't know your way around it so I will walk you through it, by the way this is the company I got my panels from and they sell the panels plus the adhesive and can give very detailed installation instructions if you need it, but like I said there are a lot of companies that sell these panels just shop around.

Ok once on the site click on the side of the catalog that says architectural products, then scroll down when page opens and click on texture plus panels , when that opens click on the image of the texture plus panels and it takes you to the styles they have available. Further if you click on one of the styles it takes you to a page where they show the panels in use and several ways they were used. Personally I think it would be better if the company understood that most people would get to the one page and think ok now what?? They really should of put some better navigation tools on it but oh well it is what it is but their product is great.

Hope this helps.

Installation

Oh one quick note, on installation it is quite simple it is an adhesive that is applied via a caulk gun. Each container comes ready to install in your caulk gun and go. I don't have any left, I just went and checked but I believe it did say can be used on wood, concrete, stucco etc. But all the product is , is a plastic mold form of rock, or brick etc whatever style you choose that is heavy enough to stand up to outside weather but a tad bit more sturdy than siding. It is the stuff that they are installing on the outside of all these new strip malls to make it look like a stone front etc. They have a link on that site to ask questions so ask them about the intended application on wood I am sure they can let you know.

Good luck
