sealing window in wall

Hi,

I have a window in the middle of my wall which i need to seal. What would be the best way to do this? One contractor suggested using a wooden plank and then waterproofing on the exterior while another suggests waterproofing and using bricks to seal the hole. Any ideas as to which would be the best way to prevent cracks and water leakages on the internal walls?

Do you want to seal leaks in and around the window or close the opening in which the window is installed?

Problem/sealer for brick patio

I used a petroleum based brick sealer last friday. The brick mason, who is a friend of mine gave me the sealer. The instructions stated that the outside temperature should be no lower than 40 degrees and that the bricks should be dry. I put on the sealer at a temp. of 50 degrees and it was about four days after a brief rain. The problem I have is that the sealer didnot dry in all areas. The overnight temperture dropped that night to below freezing. I need to know how to remove the sealer that is now tacky. I tried using a dryer called azborit. This helped alot but there is still sealer residue that I would like to remove. Thanks. :confused:Read More
