Building a Brick Arch

Can anyone suggest a good book or other resource on constructing a brick arch? Specifically, I'd like to build a segmented arch. I am competent at basic masonry, but have never attempted anything quite like this. Thanks in advance!

can you give size of opening"
usually you cut the arch out of plywood and make a frame and install it below the brick line and then place your brick over it.

Thanks for the reply. I've pretty much got that part understood, but I was looking for a step by step, how-to... mebbe with pictures (I like pictures). Or maybe I should just bite the bullet and attack the project already! The arch will be approx 6ft.

Thanks!

Hey, that's a pretty good link. The archwork is nice. I also found a really good book on the subject with great step-by-step instructions (and pictures!). It's from the Black & Decker library called "The Complete Guide to Home Masonry".

Thanks for the assistance
