New construction..cost of brick chimney??

Hello all,

Getting ready to build soon and can't decide on type on fireplace we want. I know its hard to estimate a price with so many variables on a fireplace and chimney so I'll try to explain as best I can. We like the look of your standard no-frill brick chimney but don't have any idea how much difference in cost this would be compared to B-vent. Brick chimney means added foundation wall to support the brick(plus cost of brick for chimney) whereas B-vent would just go up through the roof. I was just wondering if there is some sort of ball-park figure for adding the cost of a brick chimney to a new construction home. Even going with a brick chimney we would still be buying a wood burning fireplace, but while I'm at it, would anyone be able to tell me how much a real masonry fireplace would cost? Thanks,

ron
