Brick Color

We moved in to a house with a brick front wall with a bay window on it. The brick has been painted white by the previous owner. Is there any way of getting the original color back, we wanted the brick(red) color cause we like that much better than the white.

Please let me know if any one has had a similar task or knows how to go about doing this. Oh and one more thing, you know how there is a concrete patch(gray) under the siding of the house, can we paint that or not?

Thank you and your replies will be much appreciated.

You might try paint and varnish remover [let it set - read instructions] and then spraying it with a pressure washer.
I assume the gray patch you are talking about is the foundation, either poured concrete or stucco over block. If so it is paintable, use a good latex masonary primer, latex house paint for top coat.
