cleaning brick driveway

I need to clean our brick driveway which is made of used brick. It's actually in pretty good shape, but hasn't been cleaned or sealed in years.

What do you recommend for cleaning? A power wash? Any kind of detergent besides water?

After I'm done cleaning, should I seal it? I'd love any recommendations on a sealant to use.

Thanks,

DeAnn

Are the bricks set in mortar or laid dry?

I would scrub with luandry detergent [use a good floor cleaner/degreaser if oil drips are present] add bleach if mildew is a problem. Using a pressure washer should make the job easier. I'm not familiar with clear driveway sealers. You might check at the paint store or perhaps someone with experience with those materials will post.
