A very hard grade concrete

The floor in this building was built with very hard cement and we need to drill out (using rotary and demolition hammers) a well for a sump pump. And so, a week later after much hard work, we get the well done.
However, are there other methods/technics/tools etc...that could have been used to break very hard (bomb proof) concrete?

well hole

You could have went to a rent a center to see if they had a drill that could have drilled the hole out, I know in comerical work they have diamond cylinder drills that are 1 foot across maybe more. These drills must be bolted to the floor and water through a hose applied then just turn on the drill and have a beer.

mowpar,

A drill would take a long time and depending on the size of the basket 24 or 30 inch diameter, that's allot of beers!

Electric jackhammer would had been the ticket!

Have a great 4th of July!
