chipped foundation block

I am a brick mason , I am working on a commercial job and they brought it to my attention that the foundation block where chipped and it did not pass inspection. I need to find out if parging the foundation block will fix the problem?

Parging is a temporary fix, it falls off in time.

chipped foundation block

If it is on a commercial job and did not pass inspection, the chances are it was for appearance purposes. If they want the appearance of masonry parging is not an answer. Frequently, the block can have too many chips from handling. The chips and joints would have to be repointed to meet the specifications.

If is for chips it could not be for structural purposes.

no it will not be seen at all , but they say it will effect the stability of the structure
