exterior stucco painting, pressure washing first or prep work first?

Hi,

I hope this is the correct forum (instead of decorating: painting) to post my question.

I live in San Jose, CA and there is still sun light with one or two days of forcasted rain showers. The outside temperature ranges from 50's to low 70's.

I want to paint the exterior of the house which has stucco walls. I had windows and doors replaced or created so there are large areas of new stucco (unprimed and not painted). The windows and doors have not been caulked either.

My question is should I caulk first and then pressure wash the exterior. Or, should I pressure wash the exterior first, and then caulk the windows and doors?

How long should I wait after pressure washing before priming the new stucco?

I appreciate any comments and suggestions.

Thanks.

Unless the new stucco is dirty I would prime and then caulk those areas first.
