Sealing Brick Chimney

I have a house with a brick fireplace.

The bricks are 'Chicago Used' and are larger that normal sized bricks. They are also soft, meaning that they spall easily, especially above the roof line where the chimney is most exposed.

3 years ago I have it repaired (several replaced) and sealed at that time.

I want to seal it again before winter.

Is there a recomendation for a sealer? I don't mind spending extra $ if it is a good product. Since the time to apply it will remain the same, why waste my time, right?

Go to Prosoco.com, they have any sealant you would need, and it is the best stuff on the market.
