Asphalt Driveway Damage

Last fall I had my gravel drvieway paved. On a hot day, if I turn the wheels of my heavy duty pickup without moving, the front tires break the surface of the asphalt. Is this normal or is this a sign of a shabby job? I have a full size SUV and I don't have this problem.

Would seal coating the driveway help? If so, should I do it myself or should I contract it out? Do the contractors that do this type of work all use the same basic material? My driveway is at least 2500 sq. feet.

Thats nomal, is your driveway in full sun all day. The sun heats its up to almost the temperture it is made. Only turn the wheel if the truck is moving.

That is normal. Keep moving while turning your wheel.
