stone color

I have stone going on the front of my home as many houses do these days. The color of the stone appears to be a bit darker than I would have liked. Since it is already placed on the house is there any way to lighten it? By someway spraying it with a lighter paint/stone textured substance?

You're stuck with the color now. Is it cultured stone or real stone.

Dusty Hard standing

I've just laid a concrete hard standing for the car. It's gone hard (Off white ) but it's very Dusty. we used a mix of 4/1 and it's on a very good hardcore base which was whacked down. Chap down the road Say's we probably laid the mortar to wet? Is there any cure for dusty concrete. something i could put on it maybe.Read More

I have an old stone wall foundation, that was previously sealed with some form of horsehair plaster material. I just recently had my house sided with vinyl. The foundation looks like garbage. What I'm looking to do is scrape off as much of the plaster, (what isn't falling off already) and replace it with some concrete or cement. Was wondering what the best cement/concrete for this application is. Also, is there any special technique in getting it to stick to the wall without it falling off.Read More
