Question Cutting Bricks?

How could an average guy like me cut some red bricks for a patio? I have a few that need to be done to put the finishing touches on my new yard.

You could use a wide brick chisel, or buy a blade for your circular saw or angle grinder, this will give a precise cut.

Solid brick, hard-fired face brick, or pressed?

Unless you need to have a perfect cut, or ones that exceed the width of the brick, a 4" brickset and a hammer are all you need. If you need the perfect cuts, and have only a few, buy a twelve pack and head to the closest new subdivision being built around 3:30PM. The sawman will be happy to make your cuts. If you have a bunch, then rent a saw for about 60 bucks and finish it off.
