Cool Slate stairs and walkway

I have old stairs and walkway that made of slates.

Here is some images:

Questions:
- Is there any way to restore stairs without replacing them?
- How to fix concrete joints between slates so that they would look similar to old joints that are in good shape?
- Any other suggestions?

Thanks

That appears to be slate wet-set into the concrete stairs. There is no easy way to fix that without a tearout, depending upon what you want the final result to be.

Are you planning on doing it yourself, or contracting it out?

Lightbulb

I thought of doing it myself and make it looking similarly as the rest old stairs.

I also had idea of hiring professional, but wondered if they could make it looking great or they would suggest replacing it with new.

Would be nice to find professional who would agree to come and look at this, spend his time without expecting to get hired to this work.

What would be steps if I decide to replace it with new?

Why would a professional come out and spend time and not be expected to get paid for his work?

I meant same as you :-), just wondered how to bring somebody who would explain what could be done with the stairs.
