Patio slab to concrete block foundation joint sealing
This question may have been asked before but I couldn't find it.
The gap between my patio slab and concrete block foundation is about 3/4" wide and allows ants and other critters into my enclosed patio as well as dirt. I am aware that I need to use backer rod to help fill the gap but what should I use for a sealant/caulk? I have read somewhere that butyl rubber is best used for this but see it recommended against in other places. Any advice would be appreciated.

Sudlow Concrete
Butyl rubber will work for this. You may also want to try epo-toxy. It has been around forever and is a multi purpose repair material. You could also try super seal. All three would do good. If you need any more information you can visit this website, It should help.
