How much concrete...

I'm trying to figure how much concrete I will need for my pole shed.
There will not be alot of weight on the outside walls of the slab.
All of the weight will be on the pipe support poles.( which already have rebar thru & quickcreted)
The size is 30 x 20 and 12 x 20 with 12" x 24"footings; 4" thick.With fiber.
How much would you estimate?
thanks

The 30’ X 20’ section will take 7 Ό yds @ 4” of depth, the 12’ X 20’ section will take 3 yds @ 4” depth

I imagine your trench is around the entire perimeter and not around each dimension you gave so that means you have two sides that are 42’ and two sides that are 20’ and that is a total of 124 liner feet, which would take 9 1/4 yds of concrete.

If we understand each other correctly your slab will take 19 1/2 yards. Not knowing how exact your base grade is and I’m sure your trench will vary I would pour the trench with the first load and start on the floor with what remains. After pouring out the second load you can estimate much closer for the balance and have the driver call it in.

When ordering your concrete tell the dispatcher that you need about 20 yards of concrete but you would like to order 16 yards and a balance. This way he will have a truck waiting for you balance order to be called in.

Ok… after reviewing your drawing the 4” depth area is still the same but your trench is more liner feet about, 140 I re calculated and come up with 21 yards total.

Let me ask you this, does your trench dimension include the 4” floor depth above it ?

I thought so… your trench is using as much concrete as your slab
So which is it?
#1) 12”wide X 24” deep, minus the floor depth would be 12” W x 20” D
or
#2) 12”deep X 24”wide, minus the floor depth would be 8” D x 24” W
it makes a difference

My instincts tell me it is #1) and that means your trench will use 8 Ύ yards as apposed to 10 ½

OK;
I have'nt dug the footings yet.
Lets make it 12" W x 12" D.
Footings would be 12 W x 8 D + 4 D ( slab)
