Closing in garage opening, will cinder block work?

I have an a home with a older garage door that is falling off and full of wood rot. It has not been used as a garage in 20+ years. I plan to enclose the garage with a doorway basically making it into a work area / garden shed. There is a cement floor that seems solid. My basic question is ... should I use cinder block or some other material like wood frame to enclose the garage opening? If I use cinder block is there somewhere I can get a general plan on materials and how the blocks would fit together, need cuts, how to cut, etc. I have never worked with cinder block outside of just stacking them.

Thanks, Jeff

Wouldn't you want it to match the rest of your house?

Thumbs down

yes, I have a concrete foundation. Basically 2 feet show in the front, and 8-9 feet in the back. The garage entrance is in the back. The concrete walls are currently painted white. I plan to do the same with the garage enclosurer.
