Last year in our new house I sealed our asphalt driveway myself. PIcked everything up at Home Depot. One of the reasons I DIY is b/c we have a 30' long drive and 3 car garage. So I figured cost was a factor. I am about to price around but wanted to see if people knew contractor's used better materials than what I can get at HD. One flyer was sent to me saying they sprayed it on, but that sounds like it would be too thin? Anyone have experience here?

Hi all, we live in NEPA and have a modifed a-frame house. the siding is textured t-111 and below that is stucco (over cement block). the person who built the house built it himself. over the last couple of years i have run the gutters properly, and removed the mosture that was causing the stucco to crack and fall off in places. As i look to fix the cracks i noticed a couple of things. 1. there is no lathe, or stucco wire under the stucco. and i am developing cracks in other places. 2. i would love to put field stone over it but am not too sure of the process (pa has stone everywhere, and i have almost finished all my my drystack walls that i have planned. or 3. would love to have cultured stone over it (the $$ of it is stopping us). my questions. 1. was this stucco done properly? 2. if i repair the stucco using a protland/sand mix will it crack off again. 3. if i repair it and then paint it with the elastic type paint will this cause pains later on down the road when i do want to use the stone. 4. any good books on the subject of using/ applying field stone to outer walls. thank you in advance i really appreciate the help.
