Sprinkler water coming through weep holes . . .

We had a sloping yard area cut off and a nice 32" retaining wall put in with concrete footings, slumpstone blocks, and weep holes every 3 feet.

Our lawn has an automatic sprinkler system to water the iris and roses in the dirt at the top of the wall and my wife is very unhappy that some water flows down the dirt and out of the weep holes into the driveway. It's perhaps a quart or two for each hole, but it makes the driveway wet in patches around each weep hole.

She is convinced that this is some kind of dreadful problem, and I am willing to do anything I can to fix this--if anything can be done!

Could anyone suggest a solution? Thanks in advance!

The solution is simple: Quit overwatering.
