How to remove sealer from brick

Wanting to seal my brick patio (16'x25') I purchased sealer from our local building store under the advice of a mason. Only after applying it began to turn white in spots. I re-applied, thinking I did not apply in even coat, now after every rain it gets worse. I read on the can and it says not recommended for brick. How can I remove it so I can apply BRICK sealer?

You can't, really. You can sandblast most of it off, but it soaks in, so in lieu of removing the surface of the brick to the depth it has soked in, you can't remove it. White spotting is usually from over application and/or mositure penetrating from underneath the sealer. No easy answer, sorry.

Remove sealer

Try laying a white sheet down over the pavers. Soak the sheet in acetone. The acetone will dry very quick. When dry, the sealer will stick to the sheet and will come up when you remove the sheet.
