Brick Paver Patio Question

Hey guys, I am laying a brick paver patio about 14' x14', I am going to dig it out 6" and put 4" of road crush then 1" of sand, I was told to slope this at about 1" for every 4' away from the house. I have never done this before and I am getting 2 different answears on this, so my question is if I slope the road crush does the sand that goes on top also get sloped so when the bricks get placed they follow the slop of the road crush? OR does the sand get leveled so when the bricks get placed they are level (basically only the road crush is sloped)?? Thanks for any input or advice on this!!!!

The surface needs to be sloped.

Brick Paver Patio Question

You must maintain a uniform sand setting bed thickness of 1" and the paver surface must follow and be parallel to the base surface. - You cannot put in a level base and slope the pavers either.
