Cordless hammer drill enough?

Need to drill about a 1/2" hole through brick facia (1 brick deep) to pull some NM cable into a receptacle. Would a 18v cordless hammer drill be tough enough, or should I rent the big boy for $34 for 4 hours?

I just need to drill one hole.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciate!

Go Red Sox!

I use a 5/8 in my ryobi cordless hammer drill , no problem

not as fast a a HILTI but gets 'er done

use a new bit and put some muscle behind it

(iv'e also done it with a 18 v standard drill , just takes a little longer )

I figured much, thank you! I told the guy at the tool rental counter a home center that I just needed to drill this one small hole and he directed me towards this beast of a drill that could drill through a bomb shelter.....

Thanks for the input mango.

Yeah, your drill will do it, but how much fun did you miss not renting the beast?
