Fog Coating Stucco vs. Painting

Is anyone familiar with Fog Coating exterior stucco walls on home. I know re-stucco can be expensive and another choice would be painting. However, I was told by a building contractor that a "Fog Coating" application would be a quick way to rejuvinate and beautify the exterior stucco. Plus...its cost is minimal.

Appreciate anyone's comments on this subject.

Welcome to the forums Paul

I don't know what 'fog stucco coating' is

I've painted miles of stucco and while it does take a fair amount of paint, a paint job over stucco can last for 10 yrs or so if quality coatings are used.

i dunno neither,,,

but it sounds suspiciously as if its a pneumatically applied overcoat,,, usually done w/drywall hoppergun w/polymer-mod'd cements,,, which is what modern stucco is, anyway.
