Scuffed Pave Stones (Pavers)

I just completed laying my stone patio and am a tiny bit concerned about the scuffing of the high spots on the pave stones.

Most of the scuffing was present on the stones high spots (toward the outside corners) on top of the pavers from begin stacked on the pallets (scuffed during shipping). However some scuffing was added when compacting. I couldn't find an acceptable pad to use with the compactor in my area and the dealer didn't recommend one.

Here's a cuople of photos that show the worst spots (right after compaction). The first shot is the worst section. Some of the scuffing has faded after yesterday's rain - but still looking to clean them up some. After all the work installing them myself I'd rather see them look a little nicer:

Here's another wider shot:

Give them time, it will disappear.

That's pretty much what I have decided. I may seal them in the spring to make the colors a little richer and deeper after the scuffs have had time to wear away.

We had our first party this weekend and I got asked several times who I had install the patio. I grinned from ear to ear as I explained how my wife and I did the entire project ourselves.
