women needs advice for mobile home ground prep

I am at a loss as to what I need to do to have an older home put on my piece of property. I had a D6 cat put a road and clear an area, but I am financially destitute. The raod and clearing is dirt, I got the mobile home for free, but don't know if I can just put it on the dirt or what. Please, any help would be gratefully appreciatted, many thanks, Ayre.

Typically, the mobile home is jacked up and footers poured for piers. Call your local building code office to see if permit and inspections are required in your area. If you hire a mobile home mover, many do the setup.

Usually single wides don't need a footer and double wide do... but local code has the last say. You will need to install tie downs to meet both code and insurance requirements.
