5 months old garage, hairline cracks in the slab.

My first post. I had a garage built, it is a big 34' x 24' 3.5 car garage. Cement guy leveled the ground, filled it with gravel and compacted it, then poured the slab, 14' deep x 12" wide with double rebar on parameters of the garage and 5" with wire mash rest of garage. He devided whole slab in 6 even squares (expension or cracks) , I do not know what they call them. Cement mix was 4000 psi mix. Now 5 months later, I see some hairline craks appearing in some of the squares. Is that normal and what should I do ? It was poured after the frost, temp. was around 60 deg, soil was NOT frozen.

After selling over 200 newly constructed homes, hairline cracks happen in the normal curing process of the concrete. You have nothing to worry about at this time. You only need to worry if you notice that the carcks are seperating.
