Can I restore a cement bird feeder?

Hi folks... I hope this is the correct forum in which to post this question...

I have a small cement bird feeder in the shape of a cat holding a small bowl. One tip of the cat's ear has broken off and is missing. Is there some type of product that I can use to "rebuild" the cat's ear? I need to build up a small triangular section about 1" wide at the base that tapers to maybe 1" tall.

I've found several articles about repairing garden decor, but they all deal with how to glue broken pieces together. In my case, I don't have the broken piece and will have to recreate it.

Thanks bunches,

Susie

One of the ribbon or stick type epoxy puttys would probably work pretty well. Most give you about 5-10 min working time, but could be shaped and filed after they harden. It would have to be painted to match though, they normally harden to a dark grey or black.

There are diff types, some near the glues in the paint areas of most stores, and some in the plumbing sections. You'd have to read what they work best with.

Thanks! I'll give it a shot. I have no problem painting the bird feeder.
