mailbox flag for brick mailbox ?

How do I attach the flag to a brick mailbox ? Im pretty sure I need a masonry type screw, but the flag has some sort of black plastic housing that it swivels in. The screw goes through both.

I'd probably drill a hole, use a plastic or lead anchor and a stainless screw. A TAPCON screw would work, but will prob look kinda funny and eventually start rusting.

And whatever you choose..drill into mortar..not the brick.

well, i figured it out. there were some "legs" that needed pre-drilled holes into the brick as well.
