Question Concrete patio questions

We recently decided to re-build our old deck, but much to our surprise after demolishing the deck, we found a cement patio underneath it. It is about 14x25 feet and in very good condition, so we have opted to keep the cement patio.
There are a few stains on it. I will soon be powerwashing it.If all does not come clean including a few rust stains, is there a cement cleaner we could use?
Secondly where it meets the brick on our house there is a small gap(maybe a quarter inch in most places).
What do I use to seal this gap?
We of course don't want water seeping into our foundation.
Thanks,
Rich

Rust is hard to remove. Oxalic acid might work. Pressure wash it with a 0 (red) tip. Rent a decent machine from a local tool rental. Those little yellow machines from home depot are worthless for something like that.

There are a number of concrete sealers at you local hardware store. They come in a tube that go in a caulking gun.
