We're going to be pouring a concrete slab against a cinderblock wall and wondering if it is ok to pour the concrete right against the cinderblocks or if we need to leave a small gap?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

I use expansion joint between them when I do this. I get the 1/2" expansion joint felt

I agree with the expansion joint, but I use the rolled foam expansion joint instead of the black felt. the foam is easily glued to the wall with spray adhesive (no masonry nails required), and it doesn't deteriorate with weather like the felt can. It also has a 1/2 inch tear strip that can be removed after pouring to allow for a bead of caulk. Good luck.

I buy the rolled foam at Menard's. Don't know about your particular area. The felt expansion is old-school and can be bought about anywhere that sells concrete supplies I would think.
