Too cold to pave driveway?

My contractor finished up my garage 10 days ago but due to weather and other reasons the paving contractor has not paved the new driveway. How cold can it get before paving is not recommended? I can wait until spring so I don't absolutely need it done now. I just want the best job. I'm located in PA

New paving is asphalt. Making an "L" shaped driveway into a rectangle.

As long as the asphalt plants are open in your area and the ground isn't frozen, I'm sure it would be OK. Around here (Indianapolis) they usually close toward the end of October or November. Ask your asphalt contractor, he should know.

Just ta throw in...

They recently redid 20 miles of freeway here..but due to delays..thya have to wait til March for the "rubberized" mix to bond to the underlay. Could be just a money scam..I dunno....
