Cool

Having a brick layer do some work for me. Keeps telling me that it is to cold to lay bricks. What is a safe temp. to lay bricks.

At 50 degrees is iffy. At 50 degrees or below it can be done, but it gets very expensive quickly (controlling Ground, Air, and Mix temperatures) and the resulting work is not always as good as work performed under more ideal conditions. BTW, at least your mason cares..., that's a plus.

Red face

I read the reply from Dale about laying brick at 50F being iffy.
I still want to know whether there could be any deterioration of the mortar and brick either now or in the future if the brick was layed in freezing or below freezing temperatures.
Thanks
Pete
