Worthwhile adding weep holes to an existing brick veneer?
I'm closing on a clay brick veneer house in Montgomery Texas tomorrow (I hope).
Weep holes are missing around most of the house, I only saw 2 or 3 in maybe 200'+ of brick.
Is it worthwhile to drill new weep holes near the foundation?
My home inspector recommended I drill 3/16" holes in the mortar between bricks, just above the concrete slab, every 3 bricks or so along the perimeter just to let air circulate better behind the brick.
A picture is attached.
(I will lower the soil where its creeping up against the brick... I promise...)

Thanks,
Mark

I think his point is that since there is no flashing, the holes would be pointless. And probably would only benefit the wasps. LOL

I guess that saves me some work.
We discussed adding expansion joints to the home previously but I don't think I ever got a clear answer on the weep holes, or if I did, I missed it. Sorry.
I don't know why my pictures don't render automatically in your browsers, but if you right mouse on the icon you should be able to select an option to see it.
Thanks again.
