Hello all, I'm a new user here and just want to have some critiques about my fearsome project. I'm essentially wanting to build a colossal 14'x14'x21' "cinder" block castle tower with a staircase running along the inside edges with the ground floor level, 2nd level, and the roof level. I have a large disposal of manpower that is experienced with lightweight general construction. Mainly it will be for recreational purposes and defense against the undead and communists and sometimes both. I understand I need a concrete poured base vs concrete blocks due to the height...but I have a few questions. [LIST] [*]How far in the ground should I dig the base for a tower of this size? [*] What is a good size for the concrete foundation? [*] Any general guidelines that I should follow so this won't crumble on me when I least expect it?
