calculating concrete needed for 24x27 garage pad
Hi, I have a question about how much concrete to order for my garage footing and floor. The problem I have is this, my footing is 16'' wide then it slopes upwards for 11''to where it meets the base of the slab(monolithic slab with thickened edge). How do I calculate the amount of concrete for the sloped area?
Thanks, RichardBeer 4U2

Richard, you would use fill for the sloped area and make your concrete as uniform as possible. 4" thick would use about 8 yards of concrete. Here's a link to use if you wish for calculation: Concrete Calculator, Prices and Pouring Information - The Concrete Network

you could also ask a 5th grader for some math help figuring volumes Beer 4U2 who's doing the work - if you can't figure how much you need, expect placing, finishing, curing, & jnt cutting might be out of your league, too, right ? better hire a pro OR get some experienced help,,, removing f'd up concrete is a large pita !
