how to install downspout brick hook?

Guess this is about as basic as it gets, but how do you go about installing one of those 2 x 3 galvanized steel brick hooks for a downspout into a brick wall?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Anytime I install anything into any type of stone, I drill with a masonry bit & use an anchor. Drill into the motar between the brick.

I wouldn't use that thing. Use a regular downspout bracket that's sold at Home Depot.
