How to make round brick steps (off porch).

I want to put round brick steps coming off my porch to replace the old wood steps. Have no idea where to start. Wondering if concrete is poured in the brick pattern to fill the void. Is it built up on step at a time? Any info appreciated, I can't stand the worn wood steps any longer. The wood 4x4's are down in the concrete. Any suggestions on best way to cut them off?

Aesthetically speaking, I'm not sure "round" is the way to go. Rather, using an elliptical shape will result in the steps not projecting so far out into the lower level, with concentrically smaller ellipses making for a balanced look for the higher steps. I'd go cast-in-place concrete myself, with brick ledge block-outs cast into the top corners of each step. Then it's a simple matter of mortaring in the bricks once the concrete has cured out.
