What to paint after parging?

Our house is up on a series of courses of block because we are in a flood plain. After about 15yrs, the first round of parging became cracked and flaking. We had a mason re-do all of it last Fall, but the weather changed before we could 'seal' or paint it.

What would you suggest we do now? ..and/or is there a seal that we could also color? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking

Stucco can be painted, 2 coats are best - 1st coat latex primer or latex house paint thinned 10%, 2nd coat latex house paint full strength.... or you could use an elastromeric paint for the 2nd coat if waterproofing is needed.

You could also apply a thin sealer like thompson's water seal but it would likely need recoating every year.

..thanks Marksr. I didn't get a pic last night, but it is simply that green/gray cement parging around the bottom that needs coating/coloring. There's no real need for Thompson's .. it would be an insurance claim if it got 'wet-wet'.

I'll get started on the Latex Primer this weekend. Thanks.
