Hey Bridgeman!

Can you give me a really rough estimate of how much those concrete sound barriers along highways cost?

You know the type I mean? The concrete panels that slide in to the vertical I beams?

Just for discussion on another site.

Typical costs for concrete sound barrier was around $20 to $25 a square foot. That's what I remember for the plain stuff in NM, and it's been 13 years since I finished serving my 25-year sentence there. I'm sure the cost varies greatly for different parts of the country, and is certain to be higher today. Large cost variations occur even by project within an individual state. Contracts with large quantities will result in considerably lower unit costs. And if you want graffiti-proof stuff, expect to pay twice as much.
