How to hang plants from brick?

This is my front porch: http://www.thegamfam.com/images/IMG_1796.JPG

What is the best way to secure hooks to the brick to support some hanging plants?

Masonry anchors; check Lowe's or HD, they'll have a wide selection in the hardware aisle. You'll need a decent drill and masonry bits for the holes.

A hammer drill works best with a masonry bit. You can buy a cheap one, borrow, or rent one.

Brick is a veneer, and depending on the weight of the plant, use caution. You may want to drill through a brick joint and allow your fastener to enter the wood above the brick. I know it will be a long fastener, but with vertical pull and a large plant, just putting it into the masonry may fail. BTW, nice porch. No place for the dogs to get under it though Can't take the country out.......
