Can self leveling concrete be removed?

I poured about a 1/4" of self leveling concrete in a 5x8 bathroom but it did not self level at all. It is worse then the original concrete below. Can i remove the self leveling concrete without damaging the original concrete below? Is the bond between the two so good it cant be done? any advice welcome thanks.

The only way to know for sure is to try. If it was done correctly it would bond pretty well. If the surface wasn't cleaned and prepped correctly...you may be able to just pop it off. Hammer and a brick chisel will tell you pretty quick.

If it's stuck tight, try taking a large (7") angle grinder to it with a masonry wheel. You should be able to easily knock off the high spots, then fill in any low areas with another (thin) coat of the self-leveling product. Before grinding, open a window, close the door, and wear a respirator, because you'll be making a mess.
