minor repair: Which ready mix best to use??

minor repair: Which ready mix best to use??

have to fill-in a fe w/minor mortar gaps between a couple cinder blocks in the garage and also inside on my Brick F/Place chimney where it meets the hearth. What ready mix patch mix is best to use?? thanks

Mortar gap repair in a tube, like caulking works really good. Check the color of your mortar (if it matters) as it will be gray when dry. On the cracks, apply a bead over the crack and press it in the crack using a 5n1 tool.

thanks Larry.. I will definitely keep the mortar caulk in mind, may be best for these minor repairs assuming I can get it to color match.. my mortar is gray
