What Product To Use For Parging Repair Of Existing Parged Block Foundation

The original 40 year old parging on the outside of my cement block foundation needs to be refinished because some has fallen off or has visible cracks.

I've never done any parging and I'm trying to determine what product to use that is user friendly to apply and will bond to the existing surface. The surface is clean and unpainted.

Would appreciate any product and application suggestions.

Thank you.

I would think a stucco type coating would be appropriate? I saw a bag labeled Stucco/Mortar mix the other day.

Ya, the big box stores [maybe hardware stores too] sell bags of stucco mix - all you have to do is add water [per the directions] and trowel it on

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give stucco mix a try.
