Paver walkway right infront of stackable retaining wall
I'm putting in a stackable retaining wall in part of my yard and would like to have a paver walkway right infront of it.
Basically, they'd essentially be sharing one trench and base. That seems weird to me, so I thought I'd ask. Do I need to do anything special to make this work?
I was planning to use 3 layers of 6" tall retaining wall blocks with the bottom buried 2" deep for a wall height of 16".

I've done it and if you properly prepare the base for both the retaining wall and pavers there should be no issue. Like any good retaining wall or paver project 75% of the work is in the foundation/base and it's also mostly responsible for how it turns out and how long it will last.
