i am trying to install shelving into a brick wall. I think this sounds somewhat futile, but I was wondering if I could get masonry drill bits and masonry anchhorw for this job, and if so what size for book shelves that would be suspended from vetricle metal tracks? thanks

In descending order: masonry screws (tapicon, a brand name), lead or plastic anchors, with screws and a carbide bit to match. If I remember correctly a #6 screw fits the tracking hole. Try an 1 1/4" length.
