Hello.. On one side of my house at the top of the foundation in an area of approx 2 feet in length displaying signs of (what I think is) efforescence. To be more specific, this side of the foundation has very good drainage, but as you can see form the picture, the black asphalt paint can be visibly seen on the right side of the pic, then disappears due the fact that the topsoil grade exceeded the protective black coating. (This soil/grass becomes wet and soaks into the foundation wall...there is no water coming from above..i have already confirmed that). Although you cannot see it in this picture, the efforescence stops at the very point the black coating can be seen above the grade. It is interesting to note that the white 'stain' when dried is sort of powdery (this is why i am assuming it is efforescence), and can easily be removed with cleaning solution. It also seems to follow the exact topography of the grass line....again beginning and ending at the points where the black foundation coating is well below grade. My solution; i cut back the topsoil and grass until I got to the original black foundation coat (at least 3 inches down)...cleaned the the area with concentrated white vineger (this is the only think that I assumed would be strong enough to use without going to an acid).... I am proposing to let it dry out, placing plasitc between the wet soil and foundation, and on a nice hot day painting some additional foundation black coating before replacing the soil/grass, thereby ensuring the black coating is above grade. Does this sound like it should solve the problem?. Thank you in advance for all the advice and comments.

My property has a long driveway with a turnabout on it. I'm between two subdivisions and as of late, I'm getting lots and lots of cars using my driveway to turn around or park. This is extremely frustrating to me, to the point of putting up no trespassing signs, private drive signs, etc. These are all ignored. At this point, I'm ready to lay tire spikes down to deter people from using my driveway. If this was happening once a month I wouldn't really care, but it's happening as often as 3x a day. I've already had someone in a delivery truck take out one of my azaleas and knock several branches off a tree. The local police has been zero help.
