Asphalt driveway and concrete slab for garage are not level

I recently purchased a house and the asphalt driveway is 2-3" below the level of the slab of the garage. I need a fairly inexpensive way to bring them closer to level that will get me through the winter. I have to do a lot more work on the driveway, but I'd like to wait until spring.

I've attached a couple of pictures to give you an idea of what it looks like.

Thank you.

Dave

Why does the driveway need to be closer to the height of the garage floor?

Cheap & easy would be to lay a board down. If you want to get fancy rip the board at an angle forming a wedge/ramp. Slightly more fancy would be to use some cold driveway patch and build up a ramp.

I always thought you wanted a short lip to prevent water on the driveway from running into the garage. I like PD's idea of using a PT 2x
