Just had new walks poured.

No surprise to anybody the night the cement was setting some kids did there thing inscribing their artwork in it.It isn't very deep.Is there a way to get rid of it without being drastic or taking a crack on cracking?

Without seeing it, it hard to give an opinion.

An Attorney would call a wet concrete slab an "attractive nuisance" (legal term) that invites problems.

Its not at all deep just deep enough to barely read message.No color at all just fingerart. Maybe 1/32 of an inch deep.

While the concrete is still green a wire brush would probably remove the 'art work' but the steel wire might discolor the concrete

Wire-brushing will make it worse than it already is, by exposing the aggregate near the surface and possibly displacing some of it. If no curing compound was used on it, you could rub a Portland cement/water slurry (with just a dab of clean mason's sand added) onto and into the entire affected surface using a rubber float.

Sooner the better.
